Meet The Pros

Jason Howard

Director of Golf

Jason has nearly 20 years of experience working in and around the golf business and eagerly shares his love of the game with both the staff and membership of Woodcrest Country Club.

Prior to Woodcrest, Jason worked as 1st Assistant Golf Professional at Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield, New Jersey.  Previously, he had gained experience at reputable clubs up and down the East Coast such as Wilmington Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware; Bidermann Golf Club in Wilmington, Delaware; Pine Tree Golf Club in Boynton Beach, Florida; and The Club Pelican Bay in Naples, Florida; among others. 

Jason was born and raised in Bellevue, Ohio, where he first grew to love the game of golf. After high school, Jason attended college at Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers and earned a degree in Professional Golf Management. 

In his time away from the club, Jason enjoys going to baseball games, visiting vineyards, and spending time with his wife, Sarah. They currently reside in Philadelphia, PA.
 

Brett Fernandes

Lead Assistant Golf Professional

Prior to joining the staff at Woodcrest Country Club, Brett worked for five years at Indian Spring Golf Course.  Starting in outside operations, he progressed to becoming the First Assistant Golf Professional- a position which he held for three seasons.

Brett prides himself on his customer service and the ability to teach students of all ages and skill levels. Currently, Brett is in Level 2 of the PGM program, where he is working on becoming a full PGA Member by early 2021. 

A graduate of Cherokee High School, Brett was a four-year letterman on the golf team while also playing travel ice hockey. Upon graduation, he would attend Alvernia University where he would go on to be a four-time medalist and earn all-conference honors. 

Away from the club, Brett enjoys traveling and attending sporting events. He currently resides in Audubon, NJ. 

 

Steve Sieracki

Director of Instruction

Steve graduated from Bishop Eustace Preparatory School in Pennsauken, NJ and went on to play Division I golf at LaSalle University in Philadelphia, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.

Over the last 10 years, he has had the privilege of teaching alongside numerous Golf Digest Top 50 instructors in the United States. Steve was awarded Golf Digest's Best Young Teachers in America Under 40 for four consecutive years (2016-2019), as well as Golf Digest’s Best Teachers in the state of New Jersey (2018-2019). He also received the Youth Player Development Award in the Philadelphia Section (2016) and was recently nominated as Teacher of the Year in the Philadelphia Section.

Steve enjoys teaching players of all ages and abilities. Some of his clientele are top ranked amateurs and accomplished professional golfers playing on mini tours or in the New Jersey and Philadelphia area.  He specializes in developing young golfers into elite players many students go on to play at the college level, and have had the opportunity to receive scholarships. Over the last five years, a number of Steve’s students have won local or national events.


As part of his support for golfers of all ages, he will be bringing Elite Junior Golf Instruction, Operation 36 for Juniors and Ladies, Top 50 Tour Instructors, and Member Clinics as well as individual golf lessons to Woodcrest Country Club.

Steve’s wife, Jackie, works as an Insurance Underwriter for CHUBB in Philadelphia.  They were married in December of 2017 at Tavistock Country Club and currently reside in Cherry Hill with their newborn son, Sawyer.
